Meet the Collector: Kendall Koh
Kendall Koh, also known in the collecting community as @crown_curios, is a passionate Pokémon card collector whose journey started in the most unexpected way.
What started as a casual collection quickly turned into a deep and meaningful pursuit, and Kendall grew from a curious buyer into an active and enthusiastic part of the trading card community.
Alongside fellow collectors like Akame (@aka_vault), Kendall also became part of a tight-knit group brought together by a shared love for the hobby. From late-night pack openings to wholesome community days, he has built friendships, traded stories, and created memories that go far beyond the cards themselves.
The Spark That Started It All
Kendall’s journey into collecting began with a spontaneous purchase: a slabbed, signed custom card from MumboJumbo, his favorite Minecraft YouTuber.
At the time, it felt like a fun, one-off impulse buy; something cool to display on a shelf. But that single card ended up sparking a much deeper curiosity into the world of trading cards, especially in Pokémon.
A Man's Love For Celebi & Sylveon
As Kendall’s collection grew, so did his appreciation for the depth of the Pokémon universe. While legendary Pokémon like Entei, Suicune, Raikou, Groudon, and Kyogre earned spots in Kendall’s binder, two Pokémon stood above the rest: the whimsical Sylveon and the time-traveling Celebi.
To Kendall, Sylveon is more than just another Fairy-type; it represents charm, playfulness, and a glowing warmth that makes any collection sparkle. Paired with Celebi’s innocence and mystery, the duo radiates pure joy and have become the heart of his collecting journey.
One standout piece in his collection is a custom energy card, sketched and signed by artist Moduwa—a one-of-a-kind treasure that perfectly captures the individuality behind the pursuit.
Kendall's Current Collecting Goal
Now, Kendall is on a dedicated quest to build one of the most unique Sylveon collections out there. His objective is to collect every Japanese Sylveon card and sticker in PSA 10—an ambitious task that requires patience, persistence, and a sharp eye for quality.
But the mission doesn’t just stop there. Kendall is also seeking out Sylveon cards in at least four different languages, adding a global dimension to the collection that reflects both the international reach of the Pokémon community and the personal meaning behind each piece.
Because in the end, it’s not just about the cards, but the journey. The memories and bonds built through collecting are the most treasured pieces of all.
It's All About The Community
Through collecting, Kendall has met incredible people and forged connections that have shown that the true value in collecting isn’t measured in PSA 10s or rare holosfoils, but in the friendships formed and the experiences shared along the way.
